First Things First - Group Show- 111 Minna Gallery (San Fransico)

Running all this month is a group show that I just had to mention briefly. It features both Robert Hardgraves (interview) and Ryan Bubnis (interview) among other intensely creative artists.

A fresh perspective on two-dimensional creations will be represented from the United States, Brazil, Germany, Slovenia and Australia and will encompass painting, collage, architectural design as well as street installations. Consisting of a provocative collection of new works by local and international artists.

Collection assembled by 111 Minna Gallery Curator Gabe Scott, 111 Minna Associate Curator Jay Howell, and Lainya Magana (former Upper Playground Associate Curator).

Advance Warning: Matthew Feyld @ Thinkspace Gallery (Los Angeles)

Matthew Feyld (interview) is one of the most unique artists I've interviewed. He found his unusual style earlier on, and has been able to continue to expand upon his odd shaped figures over the years. His upcoming solo show at Thinkspace Gallery opens on March 13th.
