Listening:
1. Parade - Athens, GA... need I say more. Okay, "Parade's only agenda is to play music they love". I love their music. It is full force fun, and Carrie Hodge's vocals are the sugar in my coffee (I actually drink my coffee black, but you get the point). Parade is currently working on their next full length, which is scheduled for an early 2008 release. Listen to: That's Hott (mp3) and Hunting (mp3) from their recently released ep "Answer Me"
2. Baby Teeth - Jonathan Messinger says this band is "the best band in Chicago. That's not my opinion. It's scientific fact.", and I just might believe him. Lead singer Abraham Levitan is co-founder of The Dollar Store Show with Jonathan and can turn a mighty tune. Baby Teeth posts a new free mp3 on their blog 52 Teeth every Monday. They were also featured on Daytrotter back in June. Listen to: Bass is High (mp3)
3. K-Kruz - You are going to hear a lot about EV Records in the weeks to come, but here is where we will begins. K-Kruz is a drummer turned beat creator from Chicago, and is currently putting the finishing touches on his debut LP "Choose Your Circumstance". He has the full support and attention of label head Copperpot and a wealth of Chicago talent leanding a hand. Last year, K-Kruz released a quality remix album entitled "The Remixes". He is also one half of the duo Modill. Listen to: Modill - Moves (mp3) and Diverse & Lyrics Born - Explosive (K-Krux Remix) (mp3)
